Palliative Care & Hospice Foundation of Catawba Valley

Wills & Bequests

Probably the most common way to make a planned gift to the Foundation is Foundation logoby making a bequest through your will. Usually, people provide for a charity by making a bequest of a specific dollar amount. However, there are several alternatives that could be more beneficial to you and your family.

People can bequeath cash, personal property or real estate. It is also common to make a bequest for a percentage of your estate. Then, if the size of your estate changes (like with changes in the stock market), your charitable gift will adjust accordingly.

Since everyone’s financial situation is unique, be sure to consult with an attorney before making any changes to your will. To assist your attorney, the Foundation has put together sample bequest language that you and your attorney may wish to use when drafting a will which includes a gift to the Palliative Care & Hospice Foundation of Catawba Valley.

Palliative Care & Hospice Foundation of Catawba Valley qualifies under 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.
